The London Borough of Newham has estimated that an additional 45 to 50 forms of entry (9,500 to 10,500 school places) will be required in the borough by 2014-15.

This project has enabled Central Park Primary School to expand its capacity to 4 forms of entry (4 forms x 7years x 30 children in each class = 840 places for children) in permanent accommodation.

The 1899 and 1980's buildings have been linked by a new ground floor extension, and the second floor of the Victorian building has been re-created (the original top floor was destroyed by fire in 1979.)

The project also improves the entrance and visitor reception areas, existing classrooms which are too small, and hall and breakout spaces.
